The 2022 Genesis GV70 is a compact luxury SUV that’s making waves at dealerships like the Anaheim area Genesis dealership, thanks to its beautiful interior and exterior styling, high-quality interior materials, ample cargo space, and standard all-wheel drive. As with all Genesis vehicles, you can be sure the GV70 will be packed with the latest technology features that today’s buyers demand.
The automotive media rave about the 2022 Genesis GV70. CNET writes:
“There’s a pecking order in the luxury-car business. ... This hierarchy is well established but under siege. South Korean upstart Genesis is on the warpath and its 2022 GV70 is poised to depose segment leaders and usurp the small luxury SUV throne. That sounds a bit hyperbolic, but after driving the Sport Prestige-trim GV70 I’m convinced it’s the segment leader, or at the very least one of the best offerings in its class.”
The 2022 Genesis GV70 is offered in two trim levels: 2.5T and 3.5T. The GV70 2.5T is equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. The 3.5T trim employs a potent 3.5-liter V6 engine that generates 375 hp and 391 lb-ft. Both engines get an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Car and Driver tested the Genesis GV70 with the V6 powerplant and clocked a zero-to-60-mph time of just 4.9 seconds. The 2021 Genesis GV70 gets an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of up to 22 mpg city/28 mpg highway.*
Standard features for the base 2.5T trim include 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, power-adjustable and heated front seats, simulated leather upholstery, a hands-free liftgate, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster with analog gauges, a 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a nine-speaker audio system, HD Radio, satellite radio, Bluetooth, USB ports and a wireless smartphone charging pad. A new standard fingerprint authorization system allows the driver to start the engine and open the door without a key.
Driver assistance features that come standard include lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, blind-spot intervention, rear cross-traffic alert, and driver attention warning. The available Highway Driving Assist II helps keep the GV70 centered in its lane and comes in handy when the driver changes lanes. It can automatically keep the GV70 at a safe distance from the vehicle ahead and resume the ride after the vehicle stops.
The 2022 Genesis GV70 received the highest safety designation of Top Safety Pick+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration hasn’t tested the 2022 GV70 as of this writing.
